Oceanografia e Geofísica
In the first year of the MSc programme, students acquire foundational knowledge in inferential statistics and data science, along with programming skills. The second year is primarily dedicated to developing the master’s thesis, which can be conducted in Portugal or at an international institution, fostering collaboration between academia and industry. Additionally, the second year includes an advanced course on statistical inference and another on seminars in Biostatistics.

The whole process is completed online. You must fill in the form and submit it with the required documents duly scanned and uploaded – please read the Application Guide.
Final year undergraduate students can apply for 2nd cycle and non-degree courses, in accordance with the instructions described in the Application Guide under Conditional Applications.
The application fee is a fixed fee of €40.00 for your first application. If you submit more than one application, each subsequent application will cost an additional €20.00.
Candidates must not send the original copies of their certificate(s). However, during the enrolment process they must prove they have the original documents in person alongside the Ciências ULisboa Postgraduate Studies Area, to confirm the authenticity of the scanned document(s) sent as part of the application.
Applications which do not have all the necessary documents attached to them will not be accepted. This excludes final year undergraduate students whose documentation is specific – please read the Application Guide.
